Investigating the roots of design, exploring them, sharing them, and from there finding new solutions for the challenges of modern society.
The new edition of Designer’s Days in Paris, an event that sees Poliform at the forefront at its showroom at 33 Rue du Bac, in partnership with its long-standing partner, Silvera. The company is taking part in this four-day design event, taking place from 14 to 17 June, involving publishers and brands in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district with the objective of bringing together the design community by promoting its dynamism and creative spirit. The theme of the event is “RADICAL”, an opportunity to reflect on the origin of things, interpreted in an original and surprising way.
The Poliform showroom is transformed to show its vision of design in keeping with the leading theme. The layout of the entire ground floor – which enjoys a wide view of the street through the shop windows that punctuate the historic building dating back to the early 20th century – leaves room for the installation “The Origin of Form”: an innovative depiction of the Brera system that becomes the absolute centrepiece of the setting. Designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, the sofa takes its place in two sinuous compositions that fluidly traverse the surface, forming a double “S”. A perfect combination of Brera’s curved modules thus enhances the idea that in nature there are no straight lines, that everything flows and changes. Therefore, design is destined by its very identity to constantly evolve. The arrangement of the system is then artistically recalled in the graphics of the displays that enrich the space, evocative of the visual identity of the festival itself.Poliform’s vision is therefore a match for Designer’s Days, in an ongoing exploration of the form and function of objects, in the search for the potential of design, in making innovation, in the balance between craftsmanship and industrialisation.
