“Al margine del caos” (At the edge of chaos) is the theme of the 14th iteration of the event, on 9-10 November at Villa Erba. Two days of talks and debates, with Poliform once again on the front line.
Como again hosts the cult event of TEDx, with Poliform acting as the partner of the initiative. Now at its 14th edition, TEDxLakeComo takes place on 9-10 November, in the exceptional setting of Villa Erba. The two-day program features encounters and conversations on the theme “At the edge of chaos.”
The focus is thus on the contemporary world and its uncontrollable evolutions: “The edge of chaos is the place of the possible ‘otherwise.’ Of subversion. Of conversion. Today we are all on that edge,” the organizers write. But it is also the “area of unpredictable encounters that have unforeseen outcomes. It has a high level of creative potential. A zone of wonder and amazement, but also of conflict and disorder.” It is clear that the purpose of the event is to inspire, to open up to dialogue and discussion, to seek new ideas and to put the accent on those of value, also thanks to the prestigious gather of speakers on stage. Precisely this mission has driven the famous series of international TED Talks, which in turn have inspired the TEDx events (organized independently) that replicate the format on a local level.
Poliform enters this remarkable arena on culture in a wide perspective, bringing its own spirit of experimentation, research and exploration of new boundaries, in tune with the theme of this edition, which calls into play values like courage, openness and flexibility, looking into the present and above all into tomorrow.
