Vincent Sagart took cues from the native fieldstone that clad this 70s’-era rancher in Virginia’s hunt country, injecting natural materials and organic texture into a thoroughly modern renovation and addition. The new layout features soaring white volumes anchored with a huge fieldstone fireplace and punctuated with a new Poliform kitchen and bathrooms. Helena Sagart, meanwhile, filled the house with eclectic modern furnishings and dressed the widows with sumptuous fabrics such as horsehair, translucent sheers, and silvery silk.
