Poliform and Guido Cappellini Set a New Nautical Record
A new feat, a new milestone. At the 2025 Pavia–Venice Raid, Guido Cappellini made history once again, crossing the finish line in first place with an official time of 1 hour, 41 minutes, and 54 seconds. An extraordinary achievement over a 414-kilometer course, maintaining an average speed of 207.26 km/h—a new absolute record that speaks of speed, courage, and vision.
Sharing in this triumph is Poliform, standing beside the champion in a partnership that goes beyond sport. It’s a genuine synergy, built on shared values, common roots, and a forward-looking vision. For years, Poliform has supported Cappellini’s journey, believing in his energy and determination.
After two years in pursuit of the record, the goal was finally reached aboard the new Team Abu Dhabi boat—powered by the formidable four-stroke Mercury 360 APX engine.
Today, with ten F1 world titles to his name and a legendary career, Guido Cappellini—born in Mariano Comense—is enshrined in the Powerboating Hall of Fame in the Principality of Monaco. But his name is also tied to another all-time record: the World Water Speed Record (officially certified by the FIM), set on April 29, 2005, on Lake Iseo, when he reached a speed of 256.20 km/h—surpassing the previous record held by England’s Alan Marshall. Even then, Poliform stood beside the champion, marking the beginning of a collaboration that celebrates Italian excellence—united by heritage and passion. Together, they continue to write a story defined by boldness, innovation, and achievement.
