TRIENNALE DESIGN MUSEUM

On 26th March Triennale Design Museum presented “Quali Cose Siamo”, a further representation of the Italian Design, confirming its nature of dynamic museum, which is able to renew itself and offer to the visitors new looks, points of view and unknown paths. Alessandro Mendini’s curatorial assumption is that in Italy an invisible, unorthodox world exists, parallel to the world of institutional design: a selection of masterpieces of Masters, artists and young designers gets in touch with unexpected objects, giving contribution to a new representation of the essential Italian creativity. The staging of Italian Design at the museum not only sees the renovation of the key-team and the scientific regulation but the design, too, this year committed to the French designer Pierre Charpin and to Poliform Contract. Besides the several residential, retail and hospitality projects the last challenge of Poliform Contract Division was therefore the realisation of an innovative project, where the utmost versatility and the skills of the executors were essential.Poliform is bound for a long time to the world of arts in several ways and finds in this occasion the opportunity to create an architectural work of great emotional value, where the rules of an exhibition are joint to complex artistic shapes.
