Poliform UK celebrated 10 years of the showroom in King’s Road, London.
Fruit of adventure began 18 years ago, Poliform UK today is a reality that has the most extraordinary furnishings and avant-garde store of London, that is located directly on the central Kings Road in Chelsea, where the most famous names in style and great fashion stores can be found.
Converted from an old fire station in Chelsea, the area that extends over 3 floors, won in 2002, during the London Design Week, the award for best showroom.
The success over the years and the exponential growth of the popularity of the showroom has led to further expansion in 2009 with an enlargement of the surface of almost 1,000 square metres, entirely dedicated to Varenna kitchens.
In 2011 ia space of over 150 square metres was opened in Chelsea Harbour as a reference for designers and architects on the subject of kitchens and wardrobes
The evening of the anniversary celebration was a huge success and was attended by many guests, architects, designers, journalists and international customers.
Great prominence was given to the products Poliform and Varenna and focus on the collection of pieces designed by Paola Navone: the armchair Bug, the sofa Big Bug and the bed Big Bed. As evolution of these pieces Maxi Bug was born, that George Khachfe, owner of the showroom wanted to achieve for the occasion
The Chelsea Flower show has, then, offered the perfect opportunity to exploit the game of words and create the biggest "Bug" ever existed!
Located in Duke of York Square, tourists and Londoners were able to not only admire Maxi Bug but to customize it with pictures and thoughts contributing to the creation of a piece of history of Poliform.
As a sign commemorating the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II - which marks her 60 years on the British throne - and to celebrate the Olympics that London will host, a version of the Bug armchair decorated with the typical Union Jack, the flag of the United Kingdom, has also been created.
