COMON

For the second consecutive year, Confindustria Como has organised ComON, the Creativity Week. The goal of this major event is to promote Como’s creativity on the national and international scene, and to relaunch the city’s renowned production district working in the textile and design fields. ComON design Exhibition aims to stimulate the creativeness of the most promising young students of the Politecnico of Como and Milan, of the NABA and the IED, on the theme of recycling and environmental eco-sustainability.14 students, working together in pairs, have been selected for realizing design creations using as raw materials different waste materials, coming from the industries of the furniture sector in Como.Poliform, always careful to the themes of the social responsibility, helped two of these students to realize their project. Thanks to the support of the research and development centre, they have realized the coffee table "Bookmark" with the top made with the discards of hot-pressed layers of oak veneer and a structure assembled with MDF-panels recovered from the industrial production and lacquered in white colour. The projects realized by the students will be displayed in public during the Creativity Week and the following week at the Politecnico of Como.
